Fil-Kulisap publishes articles on new taxa, agriculturally important species, diversity studies, population dynamics, life histories, new records, surveys, assessments, and short notes on Lepidoptera in the Philippines and surrounding areas.
Fil-Kulisap comes from the tagalog words, Filipino, which means from the Philippines, and Kulisap, which means insects.
Instructions for Authors
Submitted papers should be original, unpublished work that is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere. Submitted manuscripts should conform to the following criteria:

Text must be in 12 point Times New Roman font on A4 or US Letter paper with 1-inch (2.5 cm) margins on each side.

Each figure or graph must be on a separate page (one figure or graph per page) with its respective captions below.

Figures with bitmapped images (e.g., digital photographs) must be in TIFF or JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi; vector images (e.g., line art and phylogenetic trees) should be in EPS or PDF format.

Prior to publication, data collected or analyzed as part of each study must be made publicly available through relevant international databases or other resources, including the Philippine Lepidoptera Database (PhiLepBase), the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF), the Map of Life (MoL), GenBank, and Morphobank.

Submissions should include the names of at least 3 suggested reviewers, their institutional affiliations, and their email addresses.
Documents must be sent electronically to philippine.lepidoptera@yahoo.com or to the Editor-in-Chief at jaabadon@gmail.com. The subject line of the email submission should be in this format: FIL-KULISAP_[last name of the corresponding author]_[first name]_[month of submission]_[year].

Please contact the editor-in-chief, Jade Aster T. Badon, before submission of monographs or manuscripts longer than 15 pages in length.
All submissions will be peer-reviewed.
Publication months: June and December
All articles will open-access online as PDFs through the PhiLep website: philepidoptera.wixsite.com.

All authors will receive a free printed version of the journal they published in.
